Angel Dark
Roads, music and everyday style
A quieter side of Angel Dark emerges in the interests she has shared away from professional sets and live shows.
Time on the road
Driving was a favorite pastime when Dark spoke with AVN in 2010. Her work frequently took her to Italy, while visits to her parents could involve a journey of around ten hours. Long distances were familiar, and she described enjoying the time spent in her car.
She was driving a Dodge Caliber at the time. Travel by road also affected her everyday clothing choices: comfortable clothes and flat shoes made more sense behind the wheel than the heels she liked to buy. These details describe that period of her life, rather than a claim about the vehicle she owns today.
A varied soundtrack
Linkin Park was her immediate answer when asked to name a favorite band. She spoke about enjoying the singers’ voices and the energy of the music, often playing their CDs in the car. Rather than choosing a single favorite track, she said she liked much of their work.
Her listening extended to pop, trance and R&B. The interest in Linkin Park also appeared in AVN’s later Hall of Fame profile. Music and driving were connected in her account: putting on a familiar album was one way she described changing the mood of a journey.
Dresses, shoes and comfortable clothes
Dark described a fondness for buying shoes and dresses, sometimes keeping shoes she rarely wore. Her day-to-day outfit was often much simpler: jeans, a T-shirt and trainers. The contrast was practical, especially when she spent a great deal of time driving between places.
She also distinguished her public work from ordinary life. Recognition could help professionally, but away from work she still saw herself doing the same everyday tasks as other people. In the interview, she resisted treating fame as a different personal identity or a reason to stop being herself.
